Pain is the reminder of ones existence,
even more so when the injury is life threatening.
Excitement is ephemeral, boredom is eternal.
Now when i look back, i see a fleeting moment of consciousness,
a fraction of transient time that brought me down to earth
and it'll take a lot more than sleeping pills to get rid of that memory
